Chirag talks about his Bollywood break

I was born to act: I have wanted to be an actor ever since I can remember.
I have spent hours in front of the mirror enacting film scenes and, even now, after watching a film, I lock myself up in the bathroom and keep repeating the scenes that I have just seen. The wait is finally over, and my first film is set to go to the floors in about two months��� time and will be directed by Tanveer Khan.
My first break has been easy: I met Anuj Saxena of Maverick Productions through a common friend in Mumbai. Anuj was a television actor then. Slowly, we became friends and I would keep telling him about my inclination towards acting. He launched his production house and came up to me one day and asked me if I seriously wanted to act. He showed me the script and soon we had decided to go ahead.
The character I play is me: It is mere coincidence that the character I play in my first film is just like me. He���s a guy-next-door who���s close to his family. And that���s exactly who I am. My family means the world to me. You���ll hardly see me partying out with girls. Whenever I am not working, I am at home. I have imbibed this trait from my dad, who, despite his hectic schedule still makes it a point to come home for dinner. On off-days, the family sits together and plays baby games like ludo and carom. That���s the way I have been brought up.
Politics is in my blood: I am my father���s son. And I look up to him in more ways than one. There is no denying the fact that it would have been easier for me to take up a career in politics. But then, cinema is my passion. I want to try it before I settle down to do anything else. However, I wouldn���t rule out politics as a future occupation.
My bread and butter: Now, I earn my living from Venom, my nightclub in Jaipur, which I have set up with my friends. The nightclub is doing well and we hope to open up two more lounges by the end of the year, one of which will be in Delhi.
I am single: I haven���t met the girl of my dreams but it���s true that I don���t want to wait forever to get married. I want to marry on time and be a young dad so that my son���s girlfriends find me hot.
Jaipur is special: This is where I began my first business venture. This is also a city that relaxes me completely. Mumbai is always on the move and even life in Delhi feels hectic at times. But, Jaipur is where I feel at home and a trip here rejuvenates me.
